"The recent works are a series of small scale paintings that can be hung together in an expandable group, from groups of 4 to 30. The paintings continue my preoccupation with colour relationships, within a self restricted palette. The effect I hope to achieve, whether the individual paintings with their chosen blocks of colour, or the groups of paintings, is an invitation to pause amid the bustle and let the eye travel round the image. I aim to produce a meditative mood, or experience, on repeat viewing."
