"I am a full time artist living and working in Dulwich and have been exhibiting work in the area for the last 5 years. I work with oil and emulsion on paper and tend to work in series.
My main interest is with line and habitual mark making. The sketches or automatic drawings are an intrinsic part of the way I work, a constant source of inspiration. These are also oil on paper drawn using a method I developed that is similar to monoprinting. I try to create barriers within the processes that I use aiming to give the drawn line a more natural rhythm and direction. However abstract the work becomes I remain intrugued with the relationships between every single mark, how they relate to each other, the limitations of the paper, and me. As a result of this even the simplest line can take on an emotional quality, bundled together for strength or left alone, isolated."
