My work is currently concerned with exploring landscape primarily through memory and mood. ' Atmosphere ' is as important as a sense of place in these paintings, and I use layers and veils of paint to suggest hidden forms and shapes in and on and behind the picture surface. I create my images through a fusion of observation , memory of places and my imagination.I also enjoy printmaking and regularly produce monoprints, drypoints, and etchings . I live in Dulwich, have a studio in Brixton, and teach part-time in an Art college in North London.
